Robust and reliable pedestrian access control has become more and more important and ZABAG ZENTRA turnstiles provide an adaptable and economical solution. Connected to card or proximity fob readers the ZENTRA turnstile will only allow authorized access and securely deny entry to any unauthorized persons.
The ZENTRA family of turnstiles meets current health and safety regulations. The sophisticated control panels comply with the latest standards and are programmable to meet individual customer requirements. Various mounting plates and cabinets can be provided to accommodate all types of card readers, intercom and video communication. The top housing contains both the turnstile head mechanism and the control panel and has removable panels for ease of access. There are a number of different roof options and the steel framework may be powder coated to a RAL standard colour of the customer’s choice.
For rapid and economical installation all ZABAG turnstiles are delivered as a complete unit on a temporary transit frame to enable unloading by fork lift truck.

The ZABAG ZENTRA-E turnstile may be controlled in both directions and, following authorization by the access control system, the servo motor provides ‘push
and go’ drive to the rotor until the next stop position is reached. The start time, torque and speed of rotation can be adjusted to suit individual customer requirements. Compliance with the mandated operating forces by trade law are guaranteed any time. Due to the sophisticated locking lever solution, it is impossible, that pedestrian get trapped while passing through.
The turnstile Zentra EH is separate controllable for entry and exit as well, but without having a servo motor to manoeuvre the rotor.
After clearance from whichever access system, the rotor needs to be pushed by the pedestrian up to 60°. From 60° a simple but reliable mechanical solution will rotate the rotor the remaining 60° until it reaches its next end position where it will be locked securely again.
The behaviour in case of power failure can be set in accordance with the requirements. By default the entry will remain locked and the exit will be free open.
